ICC has banned Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan from all cricket for two years

ICC (International Cricket Council) has banned the captain of the Bangledesh cricket player Shakib al hasan. He has been banned for two years by ICC as he accepted three charges of breaching the the ICC Anti Corruption code.

Article 2.4.4


1. Failure to disclose to the ACU full details of any invitations or approaches shakib received to engage in Corrupt Conduct, in relation to the Bangladesh, Zambabwe and Sri LankaSeries in Jan2018 or the IPL 2018.

2. Failure to disclose to the ACU full details of any invitaions or approaches shakib received to engage in Corrupt Conduct, in relation to a second approach in respect of the Tri Series in Jan 2018.

3. Failure to disclose to the ACU full details of any invitations or approaches shakib received to engage in Corrupt Conduct, in relation to an 2019 IPL match between SRH v KXIP on APR 26 2018.

Shakib Banned from playing Cricket


Shakib al hasan chose to admit the charges and agreed the sanction with ICC in lieu of an Anti Corruption tribunal hearing under the provisions of the code. He will be allowed to play the International cricket on Oct 29 2020.
